Compliance

Our LHDN compliance, in writing

Most payroll vendors in Malaysia say they are LHDN approved. Here is the reference number, so you can check ours rather than take our word for it.

Monthly Tax Deduction (MTD) Calculation Compliance Confirmation

Issued to Moo Apps Systems Sdn. Bhd. by the System Development Division, Revenue Collection Department, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia. It confirms that the Monthly Tax Deduction calculation developed in the MooPayroll payroll system complies with IRBM's standard and required specification for 2026.

How to check this yourself

A compliance claim you cannot verify is just a sentence on a website. This one you can check with LHDN directly — and you should check ours, and everyone else's, the same way.

1

Quote the reference

LHDNM.01/45/274/3-2 (2026-263). Any enquiry to HASiL about our compliance status can cite it.

2

Check the public register

LHDN publishes the list of software providers whose MTD calculation has passed its specification. Our listing follows the confirmation letter.

3

Mind the year

Compliance is granted against one annual specification. Ask any vendor which year theirs covers — ours is the current 2026 specification.

LHDN's register of software providers

LHDN refreshes that list periodically. Our confirmation is dated 29 September 2026 and the letter states our listing will follow — if you are reading this before the next refresh, quote the reference instead.

What it covers, and what it does not

The confirmation is specifically about PCB — the monthly tax deduction. It is the one statutory deduction where we hold a formal verification from the authority itself; the other three are calculated from each body's published tables. We would rather be exact about that than let one badge imply everything.

DeductionWhere the rules come from
PCB / MTDLembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN)Verified by LHDN against the 2026 computerised calculation specification.
EPF (KWSP)Kumpulan Wang Simpanan PekerjaCalculated from KWSP's published contribution tables — effective-dated, matched on age and residency, with the 60th-birthday change handled and custom voluntary rates supported.
SOCSO (PERKESO)Pertubuhan Keselamatan SosialCalculated from PERKESO's published wage-band tables, covering the contribution categories and the wage ceiling.
EIS (SIP)Sistem Insurans PekerjaanCalculated from PERKESO's published EIS wage-band table, effective-dated alongside SOCSO.

It has to be kept

The letter is explicit that we must update the system in line with each annual budget announcement, and that IRBM may withdraw the confirmation if our calculations stop meeting the specification. That is the right arrangement: it makes the approval a standing obligation rather than a certificate we earned once and put on a wall.

So when the specification changes, updating MooPayroll to match is our job, not yours and not your agency's. You will not be asked to adjust a tax table by hand, and you will not be running last year's formula without knowing it.
